Get to Know VA Gladiators

VA Gladiators

We are a team of virtual assistants and experts who provide services in WordPress, onboarding processes, policy and standard operating creation, social media management, digital marketing, and any other administrative or organizational tasks that overwhelm you. Our job is to support you and your business remotely and we do that very well.

Whether you need our help with one thing or many, you’ll be matched with the right Gladiator(s) for your specific needs. Sometimes that's a generalist VA and sometimes that’s a VA who specializes in one tool or system so they can provide the most value possible.

We believe that people do their best work when working in their zone of genius. - That goes for you, too!

Meet Lana Johnson, the OG - Original Gladiator

I’m no-nonsense, period. I’m the person who will tell you that you have something in your teeth or toilet paper stuck to your shoe. If your books are a mess, if you need to rein in your team, or if you need a marketing overhaul, it’s my job to say, “THIS IS A HOT MESS, but that’s ok, I’m here, and it’s handled!”

I think it’s my duty to be honest with VA Gladiators' clients and I take that responsibility seriously. Otherwise, I’m doing you a disservice and that’s not helpful at all.

Besides being the owner and primary project manager of VA Gladiators, I’m a Keap/Infusionsoft Certified Partner and a Honeybook Educator.

I would love to chat with you about your business needs.

Lana’s Story

Working as a VA opened a whole new world for me in terms of my purpose. I had been helping my husband run a small e-commerce business for years. Suddenly I realized, there are so many more people who only want to do what they’re passionate about. The administrative, the policy and procedure creation, the marketing and customer relations, the back office management...you know, all the stuff you HAVE to do if you want your business to thrive. - That's my sweet spot!!

One day as I sat in a fraternal conference and listened to updates from the attendees, one woman said she was starting an online fraternal tips and tools publication. It piqued my interest and I wanted to know more, but since I really didn't have room on my plate for another hobby, I filed it in the recesses of my mind.

I was married with a young son and a baby girl on the way while working full time, not to mention my volunteer work. Fast forward to me being 6 months pregnant, in a new home, and thinking I’d love to work from home but the company I worked for didn't view telecommuting as a viable option.

One day I stumbled on a Facebook post by the same woman from the conference. She was looking for help with her publication so I emailed her that day with my cover letter and resume. The position was for a VA, splitting time between the fraternal publication and her VA business.

That job taught me a lot, but most importantly I learned:

  • This was my way to work from home while doing what I love.
  • I was destined to save people from the overwhelm that comes with starting and running a business or small organization!

Before that job, I had been giving away ALL of my free time as a volunteer for FOUR different organizations. Clearly, I had something to offer but I didn’t see just how valuable it was. One day while helping a friend with an issue she was having, I realized I’m like Olivia Pope from Scandal.

I’m a GLADIATOR. I come in (wearing a white hat ‘cause I look cute in a hat) with my team, often to find people working in chaotic disarray. I roll up my sleeves and get to work. It puts a sparkle in my eye to rewrite policy, work with teams to be more productive, and to organize chaos! I love being asked the status of a task and being able to say “It’s handled!”
